98K Sniper Scope W Hard Case In Ordnance TanThis auction si for one 98k sniper scope w/ hard case in ordnance tan. This is a 1.5 power target long distance sight which was mounted on the 98k rifle. The sight comes in its original oblong metal storage case, and includes the side rail rifle mount, the objective lens cover and teh lens cover (rain shield? ) for the ocular lenssight markings/stamps the stamps on the scope are clear in the picture #s 3&4. I will also spell them out herethe maker ordnance code si cag please see picture #3below that is a + symbol please see picture #3below that is stamped z. F. 41/1 please see picture #3closer to the ocular lens there are the numbers 4547 stamped in white please see picture #3on the side rail rifle mount there is a small stamp of duy please see picture #4below that there is a stamp that i don't recognize please see picture #4below the unknown stamp are the numbers 214 please see picture #4sight condition as you can see in the pictures, the sight itself has some rust patches please conisder this when placing a bid. Both the objective and ocular lens covers fit on secuer and snug. However on the eye end of the ocular lens cover (maybe rain guard? ) there is a small dent, please see picture #5.
There is also some rust on the ocluar shade, please see picture #5. The reticle is still visible through the sight. (i've tried to capture it in picture #11) there is light fog in the elements, however, despite the fog the optics are in good condition this scope is, by all means, operational and could be mounted / sighted / and used in it's current condition. Case markings/stamps on the back top right corner of the case is the manufacturers coed jyb. To the right of the manufactures stamp there is a standard stamp, below which are the numbers 1942 however there is another small stamp before the 1942 that i cannot make out. Case condition the hard case is in really good condition. All the elastic/springs are in perfect working order. A woven olive drab strap is attached to the top of the reverse, and can be secured over a peg on the bottom of the case this also makes a belt loop. The paint is in great shape, however, please see picture #8 for a slight discolored patch on the front of the case.
