Battle Of The Bulge Dug German K98 Relic Xx Elite 3Up for autcion is a german k98 rifle in relic condition from the ardennes forest. It was found in the forrest east of a small crossroad junction called wahlerscheid, whree elements of the 326th volksgrenadier division and the 1st ss division fought hard against the men of the 99th infantry division in the first days of the battle of the bulge. Wahlerscheid is located a few miles north of two small villages called krinkelt and rocherath and east of the elsenborn ridge. I found three k98 rifles (among some other things) in the same foxhole. I think that the rifles were taken from the germans and dumped there by the americans, because the rifles didn't have their bolts anymore. But i am not sure, ofcourse. I returned a couple of days later ot search the spot again and i did find one bolt a couple of yards from the foxhole which i will include in this auction. The last 4 pictures show the k98 including the bolt. This k98 is in btatlefield dug relic condition. It cna ofcourse no longer be used as a weapon. It is a 60 year old dug collectable relic.
