Relic German Tankman Cap Badge Id Tag From StalingradUp for auction is a set of authentic wwii relics german tankman's id tag and cap device found nearby the russian city fo volgograd, former stalingrad, site of the greatest battle in history! Notwithstanding their age (after all, 65+ years underground! ) these items are in good shape they are corroded of course, but no major damage, still these artifacts definitely have that impressive been there look and feel! The dog tag in zinc was found broken in two halves, so i put them together and fixed with adhesive tape. It si marked 5138 2. /pz. Ers. Abt. 25, which to the best of my knowledge stands for the 2nd company in the 25th armored replacement abteilung (battalion). The cap device is the early type, derived from the famous brnuswick elite cavalry emblem of the german imperial army. One of the two prongs is gone, btu overall the cap badge is in good condition for such a rare item after 65+ years underground. These items with history are real gems for every ww2 collection, brought to you from the worlwide-known battlefields! Attn. Ebay staff as seen on the pictures, these items do not portray nay offensive symbols, thus being in full compliance with ebay rules. The cap device represents the emblem of armored troops, not the infamous german troops periphrased as elite and outlawed atfer the war. Also, these items are not associated with human remains.
