Wwii German Zeiss 10X50 Field Binoculars KreigsmarineUp for bid is an original pair of wwii german carl zeiss jena dienstglas 10x50 military binoculars. These are the larger binoculars, and not the smaller ones more commonly encountered. The binoculars are in very good condition with the exception of a small period repaired chip on the left bakelite eyepiece. The black painted brass hardware has 95% of the original paint intact with some rubbed paint on the edges from field use. The optics are tremendous, but there is some oxidation to the inner black painted area in between the lenses. Some of the paint has flaked and caused some black specs on the lenses. I'm sure this could eb cleaned up if desired. The binoculars have an m stamped no them, so i assume that they are marine or kriegsmarine binoculars. The binoculars have the original 1937 dated leather ncek strap and leather field lense protector intact. Teh leather is in good pliable condition. The leather lense cover is marked elietz wetzlar, 1937 dated, and waffenamt with a stickbird and waa112. These binoculars are vet bring back, fresh to the market, and display wonderfully.
